Board 74

Board 74

The board of the Dispuut Water & Environment consists of seven students originating from two different master tracks: Waste and Resource Engineering and Water Resource Engineering. The functions within the board are president, secretary, treasurer, commissioner of education for both masters, commissioner of public relations, and vice president. It is the role of the board to oversee the various activities of the Dispuut and act as a liaison between students and faculty. Each board member also supervises or is involved in at least one of the other main committees (Trip, Activity, Symposium etc.). They also help to organize quarterly drinks, lunch lectures, weekly cookie breaks and any other tasks that need to be done. We strive to create a friendly and interactive atmosphere, where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and can flourish in their studies.

Every board member serves for one full year. To maintain continuity there are two board changes a year. At each board change, three or four members are replaced by new members. During the board change day, apart from the free lunch and drinks, there is a General Assembly. This gives members the possibility to give feedback to the board (and vice versa). During this meeting, the old board presents their achievements of the last year, and the new board shows their plans for the upcoming half year. We would like to invite all Dispuut members for each board change day. The more members, the more input and constructive criticism the new board can get. This will undoubtedly lead to constant evolution and positive growth for the whole Dispuut.
